Key responsibilities:
- Develop and or review a business valuation model
- Develop and complete business valuation reports which comply with accepted valuation standards
- Communicate with clients, including preparing and conducting management interviews
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and identify financial outliers
- Research valuation issues and apply them to specific engagements
- Understand client/case issues from multiple angles, and opposing perspectives and develop credible conclusions
- Track statuses to identify and drive lagging cases/projects forward, additional staff work opportunities, etc.
- Maintain active communication with clients and participate in new business development initiatives
- Remain current with developments in business valuation theory and techniques
- Mentor, train, and supervise Valuation Associates and Interns
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA encouraged, and a valuation credential such as CVA, ABV, CBA or ASA preferred
- 3-6 years’ experience with an Accounting, Finance or Tax/Audit background
- Valuation experience and interest in Forensic accounting a plus
- Candidates must possess excellent engagement management skills
- Must have an understanding of corporate and personal income tax regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think outside the box
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Word
